Description:
The Technological Museum named after the Nobel Brothers is located in the same building where the working office of the "Nobel Brothers Oil Industry Cooperative", also known as "Batumi Office", was located from the 80s of the XIX century until approximately 1917.
The museum presents materials related to the activities of the Nobel brothers, Baron Alphonse Rothschild, Mantashev, Shelengovsky, the company "Trudy" and others in the South Caucasus, including Batumi.
In the museum, you will get to know a number of interesting stories of the development of royal estates in Batumi district, including the achievements of the Chinese Lao Jing Zhao in the surroundings of Batumi; technologies of tea plantations and its processing
from the 90s of the 19th century to the 20s of the 20th century;
The history related to tobacco production, as well as materials about Prokudin-Gorsky, the first great master of photography, are particularly noteworthy.
