Description

Description:

The Batumi Archaeological Museum takes us on a journey into the distant past. Stone, Eneolithic-Early Bronze, Late Bronze and Iron Age are represented by many artifacts. Plain and painted pottery, terracotta figurines, colored dishes, etc., kept in the museum, reflect the connection with the ancient world. The rich gold fund of the museum confirms the mention of Colchis by ancient authors as a "golden" country.
