Makhuntseti Arch Bridge dates back to the XII century. It is located 30 km from the city and 54 meters from the central road Batumi-Khulo, in the village of Makhuntseti, Keda Municipality.
The bridge is large and rests on the natural piers of the rock. The horizontal length of the bridge from the tower to the tower is 19.5 meters, the length of the bridge carriageway is 28.7 m, and the width in the middle is 2.5 meters. The height of the arch is 5.6 meters above the water level, and 6.3 meters above the surface of the arch. The bridge has been undergoing restoration-strengthening works for centuries, which is evidenced by the rows of additional stone piles, which are completely different from each other in size, shape and character of the pile.
The bridge is large and rests on rock piers. Volcanic rock stone is used to build it. The bridge is in good condition and functioning today. It can even be considered as one of the most visited bridges. The bridge was awarded the category of a real cultural monument of national importance by the decree of the President of Georgia in 2006.
