The fortress was built in the VI century. It is located at the mouth of the Chorokhi and Machakhela rivers, in a strategic place to control two gorges and roads passing there. Only some walls of the fortress have survived to this day. The fortress offers beautiful views of the mountains and rivers. Upon arrival by transport, you need to go down the 300 steps that lead directly to the fortress.
