The first cinema in Batumi was opened in 1910, in this very building, and its original name was "Apollo". After the rehabilitation, the historical building not only got its old name, but also its original appearance. "Apollo" hall is designed for 160 people. The cinema operates daily and offers world premieres to viewers every Thursday. The Movie screenings are in their original and Georgian languages.

For years now, Cinema Apollo Batumi has been the main location for screenings of Batumi International Art-House Film Festival (BIAFF). The favorite cultural event of cinephiles takes place every year in the second half of September.

Every Wednesday, the cinema has a "Super Wednesday" promotion and tickets are sold for 5 GEL. Batumi Card discount is not valid on this day and also on preferential rates.

The Batumi Card discount is also not valid in the cinema bar.
