The gallery was opened in Adjara. By the decision of the advisory council of the Ministry of Culture dated December 18, 2001, and opened on April 25, 2002. The permanent gallery presents works by artists from the Adjaristskali Gorge.

The exhibition hall of the gallery houses the following collections: painting, sculpture, graphics, tapestries.

Khulo Art Gallery hosts various events. He hosts both group and personal exhibitions.
